I work in virtually all genres of photography; portraiture, events, product, architectural... you name it, I've done it and loved it. Unlike other photographers that limit themselves to a particular area it is my belief that the best photographer understands the challenges surrounding ALL types of photography and can rise to meet those challenges with creative vision and technical skill to provide images that will be treasured by the client.
DO NOT let yourself be limited by the genres listed below; if you can see it, I can shoot it! Anything you can think of, I have probably done.

Portraiture:
I prefer to work on-location, as nothing can capture someone as well as the environment they work and play in. Studio photography is great, and there is a time and place for it, but the danger is that most photography studio work tends to all look alike... same background you've seen a million times, same lighting techniques you've seen a million times, same tireda dn artificial poses you've seen a million times. There is nothing more personal, more immediate and more satisfying than to capture someone in a setting that is unique and meaningful to them. Be it your home, your office, your favorite city park or other personally meaningful location, the best photos are taken in places you are engaged in -- rather than "inserted" into.
Rates: $50 per hour per person, which includes a CD of professionally edited images.

Events:
Whether you are hosting a gala charity ball or a high-school football game, you want the highest quality shots by which to remember the event long after it is over. I specialize in and love using a non-invasive approach wherever possible, which means no irritating camerahound popping a giant flash in the face of your guests and forcing everyone to line up for fake poses. As with wedding photography I am not here to be the director or the star, your event is! Whether you are hosting a few friends and family over for a private birthday party, or you are an up-and-coming new band playing an important gig, I will get those shots you will treasure forever.
Rates: $75 per hour, which includes a CD of professionally edited images.

Product:
If you have a product that you sell you want to make sure that prospective customers see it in the best light possible, so now is not the time to go it alone with a cheap point-and-shoot camera you bought at an electronics superstore! Food photography in particular is a very tricky art form, and nothing will ruin the look of the most magnificent meal than an off-color, poorly composed, overly light/dark image. From caterers to restauranteurs, from clothing makers to woodworkers, from the most humble handmade crafts to mass-produced plastic widgets by the millions, your customers NEED to see exceptional images of your product or they will simply go elsewhere.
Rates: $50 per hour for in-house studio work, or $75 per hour for on-location work, which includes a CD of professionally edited images.

Architectural:
Selling your house? Trying to attract tenants for your commercial property? Want to show off your architectural masterpiece the likes of which Frank Lloyd Wright would be envious of? Then you need top-quality photos! Due to their size it can be very tricky to get compelling images of buildings, especially large commercial structures like skyscrapers or sporting fields.
Rates: $50 per hour for on-location work, which includes a CD of professionally edited images.
